Government assistance was initially created during the great depression of the 1930s, the devastation of families during that time was horrific. I believe whole heartily that we help the less fortunate, and look out for our good neighbors in time of need. Food and shelter should be given to every American, the frustration hits home when hard-working adults, taxpayers are giving more than they wish to, and the less fortunate drive, eat, and are clothed better than these hard working adults. It’s a sad joke that the middle class working adult has an empty fridge and a grocery cart, but the person receiving Government Assistance has a fridge, cart, and cupboards packed with premium food. Government Assistance should have guidelines, requirements and an end to support after so long. The need and desire to work needs to be instilled again in
