Insects are also genetically modified, but in different ways then the others. The animals are actually genetically modified to control the population of the insect in question. I t also is made to control the pathogens that these animals are known for spreading to others which will help keep humans from getting pathogens such as malaria. The insect will look just like the breed of organism that it is, but will breed slower and stop animals/plants from getting sick.

The law starts with every type of GMOs have to be within the requirements of three organizations: the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPD). The second law is that you can't sell genetically modified animals or their meat as they are purely for scientific studies.
