Most developed countries do not consider GMOs to be safe. At least 26 countries have banned GMOs including: Switzerland, Australia, Austria, China, India, France, Germany, Hungary, Luxembourg, Greece, Bulgaria, Poland, Italy, Mexico and Russia. So, where is the United States in all of this? There is much controversy and debate about GMOs and genetic modification in the U.S., but the United States government has not passed any legislation to ban the use of genetic modification, and in some cases, the company doesn’t even have to label that there are genetically modified organisms in their food.
