According to World Vision, “ Ethiopia is the number one child malnurited country.”Ethiopia could really benefit from GMO food and this technology could save little Ethiopian lives. GMO food allows for a lot less pesticides resulting in more healthy, organic, food. According to Living History Farm, “When genetically modified organisms (GMOs) were introduced to farmers' fields in 1996, one of the major selling points was that these new crop varieties would reduce the use of pesticides.”Many farmers use this kind of food because it is genetically modified to not need the use of pesticides. Wikipedia states this in an article, “There is a scientific consensus that currently available food derived from GM crops poses no greater risk to human health than conventional food.” This article agreeing with me that their is no health risk with GMO crops and they go on to say that there is a huge false stigma against GM food. GMO crops are also one of the most unnecessary stigmas in America.
