Have you ever known Down syndrome? In the past, when science has not developed, especially medicine, people cannot know why the baby has a lot of symptoms such as congenital heart defects, hearing loss, poor vision, flat facial features, small head and ears, short neck. These symptoms are Down syndrome is a chromosomal condition caused by the presence of all or part of an extra 21st chromosome. It is named after John Langdon Down, the British physician who described the syndrome in 1866 (“What is Down Syndrome”). However, Down did not know the reason that causes this syndrome, so he cannot have appropriate treatment for people who have this disease. Most of the people usually contact with harmful chemical because of their food, their work environments, the even air around them. More than 100,000 chemicals are used by Americans, and about 1,000 new chemicals are introduced each year. These chemicals are found in everyday items, such as foods, personal products, packaging, prescription drugs, and household and lawn care products. While some chemicals can be harmful, not all contact with chemicals is dangerous to your health (“Chemicals, Cancer, and You”). However, they are only contacting with too small these chemicals every day, this is very difficult to cause immediately their health problems. If this contacting continues long time may add to their chance of getting of disease which can be cancer that is a genetic disease. The way how to these chemicals can cause cancer to people is that it affects their genes to change DNA instructions that make up the new genes which are a genetic mutation that plays an important role in the development of cancer. Therefore this is very dangerous for people when they have a lot of risk of cancer in their life, and genetic testing is a “solution” for them to can solve this problem. This test is not a treatment that can cure cancer, but it can be used to check cancer risk. It can show to people what the gene they have. For example, when they have the genetic diseases such as Down syndromes, Phenylketonuria, diabetes type 1, they are very difficult to find a job or a partner, or even they can be teased by a lot of people in the society life, so every day, they usually face a lot of challenges from society discrimination. Having a lot of challenges in their life can be solved by genetic testing. When they decide that they do this test at the soon time, they can detect the problem in their gen and have appropriate treatment from the doctor is very necessary for them to can avoid their genetic mutation become the genetic disease. Moreover, in the United States have a lot of organization that protects people from social discrimination because of differences in their DNA. The Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008, also referred to as GINA, is a new federal law that protects Americans from being treated unfairly because of differences in their DNA that may affect their health (“Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008”). Therefore they can have chances to live in the society life without discrimination. In a different way, some people suppose that result of genetic testing is the limitation. This means that this result cannot tell them every information about their genetic mutation or their disease and it can bring the
