Homosexuals Should Not Be Able To Adopt A child is created from a man and a woman. It is a natural right for a man and a woman to have a child because they produce children naturally. Homosexuals should not be allowed to adopt children because they have given up that natural right to have children when they chose an unnatural lifestyle. Even though, this choice is seen as hiding a person's true identity , it is still a choice. Gay adoption would further mainstream homosexuality and decrease birth rates. Gay couples cannot naturally reproduce with eachother, so as homosexualuty increases it decreases the amount of children being born. If homosexuality is accepted it will increase. By letting homosexuals adopt it will make having an unnatural and unsustainable lifestyle seem acceptable. As former Pope Benedict put it, raising children in same-sex marriages could be a threat “to the future of humanity itself.” If people stop accepting and promoting this unsustainable lifestyle it will be dramatically reduced. Many argue that children need homes regardless on the sexuality of the parents.Gay and lesbian parents are raising four percent of all adopted children in the United States. Currently this number is so miniscule that it has little to no impact on how many children will not be adopted. However if homosexuality is openly accepted it will increase. If more people turn homosexual then less people will be actually producing children. It is true, that it is unlikely the amount of gay people will exceed the amount of heterosexuals however there are already several factors that decrease birth rates.
