Installing a gas fireplace in your home is a very good option to consider due to the various advantages that it has over wood-burning fireplaces when it comes to the safety of your home and the health of your family. Listed below are just a few of the reasons to consider a gas fireplace.

It Is Much Easier To Start

A major reason to consider a gas fireplace is that it is always going to be much easier to start than a wood-burning fireplace. Rather than having to carry fire a lot of logs to the fireplace and then spending quite some time trying to actually get it started, all you really have to do to start a gas burning fireplace is to simply press a button. In some cases, you may even have a remote that will allow you to control your gas fireplace.

The Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL), also known as the Bakken pipeline because of the area where it begins, will transport 470,000 barrels of crude oil 1,168 miles every day from hydraulic fracturing sites in northwestern North Dakota down to Illinois, if built. There are conflicting reports as to whether the oil would be used in this country or if it would be exported. The current route of the pipeline is less than half of a mile from the Sioux’s reservation border. All along the route of the pipeline are sites of religious and cultural significance to the indigenous people, including burial sites of their ancestors. The pipeline would cross the tribe’s traditional and ancestral lands and the construction of the underground pipeline jeopardizes…

While winter approaches, arctic cold fronts bring a decrease in temperatures to the prairies and the demand for heat and energy increases. Western Canada derives much of its main source of heating fuel from natural gas. It also leads Canada in the production of natural gas through unconventional well production. Natural Gas or Methane (NH4) left in its organic state, and let migrate in the atmosphere as is the case in the Arctic with the thawing of the tundra, is 20 times more harmful as a greenhouse gas then Carbon Dioxide (CO2). When it is burned Methane is relatively cleaner and is less harmful to the environment in terms of greenhouse gas emissions than coal and other fossil fuels.…

[ IMG] If someone told me they wanted to make a cartoony, firefighting-themed roguelite with a jazz soundtrack, I’d probably think they’re a bit crazy. The small development studio, Laughing Jackal, managed to take these concepts and put them together in a wonderful game called Flame Over. The premise of the game is rather simple. Jet fuel consists of about 30% to 40% of an airline's expenses, giving good reason to do everything they can to try to increase the efficiency of their fleet. There are many factors that go into how much fuel each plane uses. since a plane uses more fuel during takeoff and climb, the climb is a bigger part of a short flight vs. a longer flight where it will be at cruising altitude longer. It takes fuel to carry fuel and a 747 filled to the max with over 6500 gallons of fuel weighing 6.8 lbs for each gallon, that adds a lot of weight. For that reason airlines do not fill the planes to capacity unless they need to as the extra weight will lead to more fuel burnt and a major loss of efficiency.…
