According to the United States Department of Agriculture, one person should consume roughly one and a half pounds of meat per day. Using these calculations, I estimate that even the lightest obese person would be able to sustain a family of five for an average of two weeks. I am certain that any impoverished nation would be more than happy to purchase this meat in order to feed their starving people. However, unless another may develop a solution that is as certain to rid our nation of this problem, I can see no other way possible to eliminate obesity in America. Yes, the population may be decreased, but in the long run everything shall even out. It will leave only the best and healthiest of our population, which shall in turn produce more healthy Americans, and obesity shall cease to be a threat.
Still, I am not thoroughly attached to my own position on the matter, and would be glad to hear from wise men, a solution which is faster, easier, and more efficient than my own. But before they may do so, let them consider that these people who suffer from obesity have had long enough to do something about it on their own.
