The wildlife is home to dozens of different animals, all coming together in their perfect ecosystem. These animals know every aspect of the place they call home: the time of sunrise and sunset, what’s safe to eat, when to protect themselves and their family, etc. Now of course we see these animals in zoos all across the US but those environments are adjusted to suit the needs of the specific species living there. An apartment or house is not the best place for an exotic animal and it should be illegal to have one.
Exotic animals are not pets. With the common household cat you can just leave food and water out and let it roam free about your house, this is not the case with exotic pets. According to the article License the Cats providing the proper food and shelter for a wild animal can be quite difficult. The author discusses how owners find themselves in a real dilemma of “[devoting] the time and resources necessary to attend to the animal, or diminish the quality of its life through reduced living space and nutrition.” Now if you get them when they’re small and young creating a suitable environment for them could be easy, but what are you going to do when that small little pup becomes bigger than you. …show more content…
These animals were placed in the wild for a reason and removing them from a region where they are wild and free to a small excluded area can’t be the best thing ever. Exotic animals have a way of life that is constantly providing for them in the wild and humans can’t accommodate to that. As soon as the animal receives something it doesn’t want instead of something it needs that the animal could attack. Once that animal attacks the people around it lives will be in danger and their will be no way to stop
