Do you have a high school son/daughter, friend, or family member that plays a sport or multiple sports? If so how much do they play? Is it the whole game or little to none at all? Many parents and others all around the world have their own arguments and opinions on high school sports and the playing time that gets distributed by the coaches. So the real question is should there be a rule saying that high school coaches are required to give equal playing time to all players and athletes? In all sports there are many different types and kinds of athletes. There are some kids that are just more physically talented and gifted than other. For example, every athlete has their own strength or advantage in their games. High school sports now mean more than just having fun, it's all about winning. Everything gets more serious and complex.In the MSHSAA handbook it states that there is no rule that requires a coach to give every athlete equal reps in games or practices. A coach's job is now on the line, and his job is to train and teach the youth of America how to successfully play a sport and to put his best players on the field who give him along with the rest of the team and their community the chance to win. This causes a lot of mix up and conflict with a lot of people. Many believe that no matter the reason, all athletes should get equal playing time and a chance to play in each and every game. Too some this may seem unfair but in reality people don't see what all happens during practice where it counts. Although coaches fail to sometimes to show appreciation to the bench like they do for the starters, coaches should work harder on letting every player be a part of the team in some way and this should squash some of the
