As she was heading out to the court, she went to grab her good luck charm and it wasn’t there. She looked everywhere and couldn’t find it. She skipped her game that day, and the day after that, and the day after that. She fell into a funk and ending up just quitting basketball as a whole. She could no longer do what she had dreamed about as a child. She didn’t want to hear the squeaky sneakers and the swish created from a perfect shot. She had lost herself and confidence all because of a missing piece of cloth.
*About a year later*
“Sweetie, come watch the basketball game with me like old times,” Morgan’s mom said filled with hope.
Morgan agreed and said “okay”, kind of annoyed but she thought why not.
They sat down on the black leather couch with the buttery popcorn and watched. Morgan sat silently and her mom screamed at the television as if it could hear her.
By halftime Morgan was also screaming at the screen and it was evident to her mom that her daughter had fallen in love with the game once again. The next day, Morgan’s mom woke up and saw Morgan outside working on her shot. She was back to played the game she loved. She decided to go back and start playing again. After a long and persuasive conversation, the college coach agreed to let her play next

These reminiscing values seem to ponder in her mind as she heads out of the driveway. It was a heinous drive from her house to the suburb.…
