Cat or Dog Cats and Dog are the most common house pet known to mankind. Dogs are more loyal than cats, but they also require more attention. Although cats are fairly independent and less demanding pets, they are also cheaper than dogs. Which would you rather have as your family pet? The life expectancy of a cat is about twelve to twenty-five years and can live somewhere small or even somewhere ginormous. Cats are not reliable body guards, they are just as scared as you are when it comes to that. But, they are great with kids and very affectionate towards their owners. Naptime is an all-day thing for cats, they generally sleep sixteen hours per a day. Even though cats are known to be lazy they also have great hunting skills. When it comes to grooming you more than likely not have to lift a finger. Cats will spend the whole day grooming their soft coats of fur. They are easily trained to use a litter box and some even like to take walks with you. In other words, cats are very independent animals. A dog can life last about seven to twenty years, but it depends on the breed as well as where they are able to live. Dogs can be very protective over their owner and may even be a little over protective. If the dog is taken care of the right way then they can be very affectionate to their caregiver. Their energy level varies with their breed and their age. Some of them may sleep more than other but some may be just as energetic as a toddler. Due to their domestication, dogs have a weaker instinct to hunt. Most of their teeth are too weak to rip open flesh. When it comes to baths, most dogs run, but the shorter the hair the less baths you will have to fight. You always would want to avoid matting for the long haired dogs.
