Persuasive Essay On Distracted Driving

As humans in the 21st century we always have our phones glued to us, we always have to be texting someone, on social media or just listening to music. Due to the population of teen drivers increasing every day, the number of distracted drivers has increased. We also seem to do this while driving too, though knowing the dangers of doing such things never seem to stop us. These situations can cause fatal car crashes. The state of Florida has made the distracted driving a secondary offense, so drivers don’t worry about the consequences of distracted driving. There can be a law made about distracted driving but that won’t stop drivers today from checking their phones when that quick texts pops up. In the state of Florida the distracted driving law is ruled as a secondary offense. Does that mean that drivers can easily avoid being punished for their acts? While Florida’s attempt to prevent accidents from distracted driving making it a secondary offense does not set the idea in drivers minds that they have to face the consequences.
