This act was passed in regards to the growing hostility between the United States and France.(Legal, I.U) Although, no one was actually deported under this law. I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinions although is it really necessary to call them ‘aliens?’ they are many reasons as to why deportation is a good thing and a very bad thing. Many factors fell into place about the views of illegal immigrants after the 1798 alien act, such as World War I and the Bolshevik revolution.(Legal, I.U.)
