Persuasive Essay On Deforestation

Deforestation, a highly controversial topic that has multiple sides with different opinions flying everywhere. And sure enough, this opinionated topic has one of the greatest impacts on the planet, and that is if our species will continue thriving, or face our own demise. From learning about the ecological standpoint of our green nature around earth, I found the topic exciting and an opportunity to see how we as humans can change the course of history for our planet. Yet what I come to find about this topic.. is not progress, but instead a clash of opinionated people all over the world debating if it is even a real issue to talk about of this moment. We currently have many conflicts arising all over the globe. The civil war in Syria, the drug cartels in southern america, or simply mosquitos migrating up north to our precious land. Overall, the people of the world are still debating if this issue is of global and necessary concern. So I began looking over the sides to this issue, and from what I can see, the human race seems to be doomed. We cannot simply exclude other ideas and only put forward our own, so I believe in acknowledging and debating on who's side is correct. I also strive to make sure that my sources are credible and do have support behind them. I use The New York Times, ScienceDaily, and The Guardian. For the one I use the most, I try the Guardian because of its Pulitzer Prize. I believe that these sources have good intentions of simply spreading the current global news, and their purpose is in the right mindset.
