In the blink of an eye, his career was over, never to walk on the gridine again all because of one big blow to the head. This was Michael Irvin, a hall of famer, and one of the best wide receivers ever to play football. He was playing the Philadelphia Eagles and was rushed by Tim Hauck. By ducking to avoid the collision, Irving hit his helmet on the turf at Veteran’s Stadium in Philadelphia, ending his storybook career. Concussions have become a growing dilemma in US sports and more and more people are getting hurt every year because of them.
