College Tuition In the past couple of years college tuition has been a heated discussion on whether to lower the cost of tuition or keep it how it is. In these discussions it’s been noticed that the cost of a college education is on the rise. For a long time having a college education wasn’t even important, but now it’s almost impossible to get a well paying job without some sort of education after high school. The longer a person goes to college, the more likely they are to get the job they want over a person who wants the same job but did not get the college education for that career choice. College may have more strict rules, but some high schools are strict too. Students go to highschool 7-8 hours a day and in college it depends on what classes you are taking. They could only have to go for two hours. If students are going to high school for more hours then college then why do they have to pay for college and not high school? When attending school students go for thirteen years, and when they go to college they’re going for two to eight years. It all depends what they are going for, but they won’t go anywhere near thirteen years. If students have to pay for college and they’re going less years than high school then why don’t students pay for high school. College and High school are the same thing. They are both educational places, the only difference is that students pay for college and not high school. “The Difference Between High School & College.” When students are looking for colleges to attend they look for the ones that have things that interest them, such as sports, music, clubs, etc. If there are cuts at the college students want to attend then they might change their mind in what college to attend. If a student likes music and that program gets cut, then they may want to go to a different school. However, if a student doesn’t want to do extracurricular activities then those students shouldn't have to pay for
