Cloning refers to the development of offspring that are genetically identical to their parent. This can be done in lots of ways naturally and artificially. An example is when a scientist clone organism artificially they take an adult animal and create the clone by the processes of artificial twinning and somatic cell nuclear transfer. While organisms such as hydras and coral use budding which is when a new organism grows off the body of the parent organism naturally until the new organism falls off and begins to fend for itself.
