Cloning has been a very controversial topic since research first started looking into the possibilities it could bring to the medical field. With the many different beliefs of how life was created many people think it is wrong for a human to create life no matter what the situation is. Yet the scientific community has many different opinions on the entire matter of cloning because their research is created for the advancement of the greater good of the people. So exactly how ethical is the creation of life by humans who are essentially playing God in a society still heavily influenced by religion. “Many couples have difficulties having children, and sometimes it is impossible for couples to have children because they are infertile.”(Joseph Farnsworth) this is where cloning would come in, the infertile couple world give the scientists the necessary biological samples needed in order for them to have their own child. This is one of the many ways that cloning is ethical in modern day society, another being the ability to produce offspring from a previously sterile couple essentially giving them a little bundle of joy. But the most useful reason would be organ replacement, because there will always be a high demand for organs, but the supply simply does not meet the demand. This leads to the deaths of thousands of patients put on an organ waiting list every year. If we let cloning of specific organs grow in demand, then that list would be a thing of the past and the patient would only need to wait for their own personal organ to be grown and put in.
