Countries such as Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Costa Rica, and Iceland are at the forefront of renewable energies and climate change policies, and should be inspiration for implementation in the United States. Each country has had a differing approach to the minimization of greenhouse gas emissions, and their implementation goes to show that a shift towards renewable energies and other sustainable technologies will not cripple a country’s economy. Our country has an irrational and preventable dependance on fossil fuels, and a mass disinformation campaign funded by fossil fuel interests that need to end. Lobbying makes climate legislation nearly impossible, and needs to be ratified. This the problem of our century and mitigation efforts are extraordinarily important and time sensitive.
