Persuasive Essay On Climate Change

Climate change is a change in climate and carbon emissions is the carbon dioxide emitted from automobiles. Carbon emissions have been devastating to the planet. The oceans have been rising for years and the water might rise an additional one-four feet by the end of the 21st century. When the sea rises, homes are flooded, which can displace several people. Furthermore, the oceans will continue to rise since the cool skin layer of the ocean becomes warmer and less heat escapes the ocean. Furthermore, states in the southwest will continue to experience severe droughts and wildfires, which puts a strain on water supply. Around 90% of climate scientists believe humans are the main cause of global warming and 50% of the general public believes that they are the root of the problem. The purpose of the bill is to create a system where the government awards manufacturers who make fuel efficient cars (above 35 miles per gallon) to tax people who use a significant amount of fuel, and to enhance the quality of the fuel. …show more content…
According to former President Obama’s fuel standards, by 2025, every single automobile will be fuel efficient and the minimum standard will be 54.5 miles per gallon. His fuel standards are a great start, but other countries are taking a more substantial initiative. For instance, by 2045, Sweden is planning on cutting carbon emissions by 85% and trees can absorb the rest of the emissions. Also, China has developed a carbon trading system where companies have to pay the government for the carbon emissions that they create. Another goal is that China uses less coal power and wants 20% of their energy to be clean energy. China and Sweden’s policies are working since they are putting the citizens first by fiercely protecting the environment. However, United States politicians are continuing to allow lobbyists to influence their agenda and this makes it almost impossible to get rid of climate
