Christmas night in 1998, in Los Altos, California a 16 year old boy attacked his sleeping dad. Shawn stabbed his father repeatedly in the arms, neck and head with a knife. Reasons for the attack remain unknown. Shawn had been expelled from school and using marijuana which caused a lot of tension. Shawn claims that he does not remember attacking his father. His mother remembers waking up to her screaming husband covered in blood. His father was unable to identify the attacker at first but then he realized it was his son.
