There are several reasons why some people elect sterilization procedures for the prevention of an unwanted pregnancy, especially when health risks are high. However, some may disagree with pharmaceutical measures as well as physically altering the body just to prevent unwanted pregnancies, and are based on religious beliefs. In any case, should this decision be that of the person seeking such preventive measures? In contrast, some people believe that if a man is convicted of sexual child abuse, he should be castrated and thrown to the wolves for lunch. This behavior was apparently inherited as a result of his mother physically beating him as well, so in turn, he felt that this type punishment was correct in developing his child into a responsible adult.
