However, I would like to debate the logic of this reasoning; as an athlete myself, I understand the sacrifices I have to make when I choose to go to a Cross Country meet and skip my Chemistry Honors class. But that does not mean that we should change the current system; in fact, most colleges understand the situations in high schools and understand the sacrifices students make when devoting valuable time to sports. Besides, the current schedule is fair game for athletes; any athlete that has to sacrifice some class time needs to make it up, and I believe many of us athletes have accepted this. There’s no reason to change the start time-end time scheduling that we use now; if we truly do change our current schedule to remove the Monday Madness, then there’s no reason to change the duration and amount of tutorials, the length of class times and lunch breaks, and the start or end times. Our schedule, though imperfect, is good enough the way it is right now; we don’t need
