In many places inside the United States rodeo is a very big deal. Watching a person with an animal that’s showing every big of strength and speed God gave them can be the most amazing thing in the world. One of these most terrifying sports in rodeo is bull riding. Bull riding is where a man get onto the back of an animal that weights up to a ton and a half tying himself onto death and nodding his head to go into the most terrifying eight seconds of his life. Many people love to watch this sport and would do anything to keep this sport alive, but as there are ones who love it many people also hate the sport of rodeo. Many animal activist groups hate to see a bull jumping around because they do not understand how the sport works.

During the ride they think that the cowboys do this so the bull with buck harder. Well these bulls are worth more than most people in the world and if you mistreat a bull even a little bit than you will have a very angry stock contractor on you. You will also have a fine to pay, and if not the worst of all you could lose your career and never be allowed to ride bulls again. Some animal activist say also that cowboys will place a small shocker on their thighs and so the bull with buck harder during the ride to get them more points. Animal activist need to learn though that these bulls are athletes. There are bred for this kind of thing. There are made to buck people for a show. They are extremely well treated. A PBR bull is made to travel in sawdust that is at least 6-10 inches deep. They’re not allowed to travel for more than ten hours a day, and once they stop than the bull get to rest for at least as long as he has been driving. Each bull has a vet on hand that is ready at a moment’s notice. When the bull does travel to new place, they are getting to stay at local ranches with the right pen size for them. A PBR bull is fed the healthiest hay with as much grain as allowed. On average a bull is given 15 pounds of hay a day. These bull though are all muscle and nothing else. They are just 1,500 pounds of pure muscle ("THE PBR ON ANIMAL WELFARE"). Weather you love this sport or not it doesn’t matter much too many people, but it does get bad when someone doesn’t understand the sport and say things that aren’t even true because they want it gone. If you don’t like it that is fine, but be willing to hear how the sport works before you go around saying that bull riders tie up the bull’s genitals because that is where people get mad.
