Benefits of Breastfeeding Being a mother is a tough job. There are a lot of decsions to be made and there is always a lot of debate over the how to’s and what’s best for our babies. Mothers can be hard on each other as well as ourselves. Breastfeeding may just be the biggest decision that mothers debate over, during the first year anyways. Being a mother of two, one that was formula fed and the other breastfed, I am able to see both sides of the matter. My first born was formula fed and had many problems with it. She had severe reflux. We tried many different formulas and medicines but with the same outcome. She would spit up her entire bottle at every feeding.
