Persuasive Essay On Being Desensitized

Look around you the people on the streets, the kids in the news, or how people act towards others. If you see how people act ice cold towards other people on their walk of life it’s not something to see. People in today’s world are so desensitized and don’t do anything for others or just look the other way in others lives. Our social media shows the light on what they want us to see they are what hold the power to make a drastic change if they mean to or not. They could influence what a new trend is or when it is. The social media, video games, and anything we do can impact how they think is normal and turn a blind eye to it. Kids sit at home playing violent video games getting used to killing people as a game. How could we as a people not be desensitized. “This young boy proceeded to become completely engrossed in a video version of nothing more than killing animated people with animated machine guns. For five hours straight, his face came within inches of the screen and his body moved slightly back and forth, in towards the screen and back as he intently focused on the blood and gore and killing that is a “game”.” That was from the article “Have We Become Comfortably Numb to Violence and Abuse” this shows a kid a regular kid didn’t seem to be violent but when left on a plan for five hours to do one thing kill being desensitized. With a time that long doing nothing but that it’s not a matter of if he will get desensitized it’s a matter of how will this desensitization to violence affect
