There has always been something unique about my answer to this question, however. What I find unique about my answer to this question is that it has never changed. Not once have I answered this question anything different than “a teacher.” Becoming a teacher is the right choice for me as it is a career I have always wanted to pursue and am passionate about, I have had experience in this field of work and what I am doing now will help me in my future as a teacher.

We did everything from learning about the basics of being a teacher and being in the classroom to actually creating lesson plans and then implementing them. I feel that this experience I had really gave me a feel for teaching and defiantly reassured my belief that teaching is what I was meant to do. That is even exactly what one of my placement cite teachers described as one of the primary rewards you get from teaching when I asked her in an interview. She stated “That wide eyed- light bulb turning on look and an “Oh, I get it, now!”” (Kujawa). She too went through the same career tech program when she was in high school that made her decision to become a teacher clear as well. In the same interview when asked why she choose teaching as a professional career she stated, “I took an early childhood education career tech program at Sylvania Northview High School, and that …show more content…
Usually teaching is a generational career. This means that there are usually other teachers in the family that then inspire their children or other family members to become teachers as well. However, I will be the only teacher in my family so far. I have found my own spark, passion and love for teaching that inspires me to want to be a teacher myself. My passion for teaching led me to take the career tech program I did that gave me great experience and that experience led me to pursue a teaching career/ major in college that has me on the right path to becoming the teacher I aspire to be one

Think back to when you were a child. Some children dream about being a superhero or a fire fighter. I may have said that, but; more often than not said “When I grow up I wanna be a teacher!” If you have known me for any length of time, chances are you 've heard me say this! Many, like Aunt Sandy, have told me that 's what I was born to do! Ever since I can remember I 've wanted to be a teacher. Sure, I 've had other aspirations along the way; (writer, veterinarian, physiologist, anything at Disney World, chef, the list goes on!) but, the one that truly stuck was teacher! I 'm sure this dream started in 1st grade and was heightened in 4th. My favorite teacher was Ms. Brown. She was fun, funny and I learned a lot! I remember she made everything fun! I looked forward to come to school every day, these two years. I wish I could say this about every teacher but for every great one there is usually a bad one. In middle school I had one teacher who was terrible. I hated to see lunch end; because, I went to her class afterwards! To this day, I 'm convinced she rode a broom! I often looked for it outside! This May have hindered some people from wanting to pursue a career; but, this made me want to be a…
