The definition of a marriage is as follows; the legally or formally recognized union of a man and a woman (or, in some jurisdictions, two people of the same sex) as partners in a relationship. Some view these marriages as preposterous due to the rights of the children being taken away and due to the increase of health risks that accompany the marriage. On the other end of the spectrum, individuals who support and want to uphold the legality of arranged marriages view these marriages as legal due to certain religious practices that incorporate child marriages and believe that arranged marriages allow for marriage to last longer.
