Currently 7.6% all of the unemployed youth are black and 4.1% are white in the United States . Youth unemployment is the range of fifteen to twenty four year old people who do not have jobs and are actively looking for a job. Some programs that helped the youth unemployment was the work progress solution. Which was established to help make eight hundred state parks in the United States. What I think we should do is make more youth apprenticeships, which will help youths get the jobs that they want in life. The government currently uses programs like the youth formula funded grant programs. I think we should have apprenticeship programs because it will help expose them to their jobs. Currently highschool do not adequately teach their students how to hold a job, or train them in the job they are heading in to. A apprenticeship combines education and on the job training and learning. You can also be a full time apprentice, which are people who are still in highschool, or a part time which is when you are in college. According to the American progress a apprentice can earn up to 50 to 60 percent of the professional wage of their job. A apprenticeship also helps a person when they are applying to get a job, because they already have experience on that job. It will also help them get thru college with money , and without any student loans after they graduate. Your pay can also increase as you are working in a apprenticeship. There are two way your pay can increase. One way is the time, if they worked a certain amount of time there lime 6 months then there pay will increase a little bit more. The second way is thru the skills you have learned, you get payed a little bit more when you complete a certain amount of skills
