Animal experiments are universally used in the world nowadays. Most medicines and cosmetic products, if not all, will go through some animal testing procedures before launching to the market. However, some people argue that it is morally wrong to neglect the rights of the animals, while others believe it can beneficial to human. This controversial issue has raised people’s awareness to animal humanity. Both sides are supported by valid evidence.

Animal experiments, also known as animal testing “is any experiment carried out on an animal” (Ian, 2017). It includes researches about genetics, evolution biology, as well as applied research like drug testing, biomedical search. Animal test is in worldwide usage. It is estimated that “50 to 100 million vertebral animals used each year for scientific research” (Beiver & Celeste, 2016). Animals like cats, chimpanzees and mice are commonly used in experiments.

Some people said that it should be banned as it is demoralized to make the animal suffer from pain. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (2010) questions the need for and the legitimacy of animal testing, arguing that it is cruel to the animals. A survey done by the United States Animal Organization found out that half of the American adults respondents opposed the use of animal testing (Cary & Rainie, 2015). During

There is no doubt that animal testing can protect the safety of human. According to the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (2013), virtually every medical achievement in the 20th century relied on the use of animals in the same way.
