Animals are tested on for human products all of the time. Some products that are tested on animals are Vaseline, Iams pet food, Mars candy, Windex, makeup and even cures for human diseases. This is animal abuse and it can hurt them badly or even kill them, it’s not promising that the product will work for a human if it works on an animal. How would you like to be a tester for animal products?. Sure people might say they are just animals and there are so many of them so why not use them for testing, but sometimes the product doesn’t even work so why test it on a sweet animal when you could save a living organism by testing it on something else. There are so many more better alternatives for example, in vitro (test tube) test methods and models based on human cell and tissue cultures, computerized patient-drug databases and virtual drug trials, computer models and simulations, stem cell and genetic testing methods. If the product is meant for a human, trying it on an animal doesn’t mean it will work on a human. So why test them on an animal then?
