Persuasive Essay On Animal Abuse

When I was eight my dad took me to the Zoo for the first time. I saw so many new species I had never seen before other than in books. I am 17 years old now and I compare that Zoo to the farm grandparents owned back home and I see the big difference. It’s not a pretty picture. Why is it that we don’t realize the cruelty of this? It’s not just happening in Zoos, it’s happening in our backyard, our streets and in our own homes. Animal Cruelty should be criminalized because animals are been abused for entertainment, tormented in factories and it’s causing an increase in animal extinction.

Animal cruelty is denied by many to be considered a crime. Those who go to Zoos and Circuses and aren’t aware of the damage been done to those animals behind those curtains and cages, they live in denial. Our generation is full of new ways to keep us entertained yet we still have animals play a role in this. It comes to the point where animals suffer severely and even

The truth is before us and we can’t live in denial any longer. Animals are suffering and we are playing a role in this. We need to protect them not let them be beaten to perform a trick for us or put them in cages to suffocate and die. The lack of care, abuse, killing, and suffering needs to be punished. When it comes to animals and all the conflicts I believe not many people pay much attention to it because they think we have so many of them. The truth is a large portion of us depend on them to survive and each passing day that portion just keeps growing. This idea will crumble when the animals we depend on are gone because of the cruelty we let happen. There needs to be a stopping point to this cruelty, those who commit this action need to be criminalized. They’re not human beings but they feel like we do and they deserve to be treated with
