Animal cruelty is making an animal suffer or put any type of harm upon an animal for purposes other than self-defense. Mostly anything that involves animal entertainments is considered animal cruelty. Imagine if you were beaten for no reason, forced to do something you didn’t want to, and left to die. This is how hundreds of animals are treated every day. Nobody should ever do this to any living being. People should be kind to animals because they have feelings and rights just like us.
The FBI is tracking down animal abuse. They believe that when someone abuses an animal either they abuse people too or they will become a killer later in life. Animal cruelty is link with other violent crimes. Like a spouse may use violence and threats against pets as part of a pattern of abuse. Incidents will be divided into four categories: neglect; intentional abuse and torture; organized abuse such as dog fighting; and animal sexual abuse. According to the Baltimore Sun newspaper it states, “In animal abuse, you have total power over the animal. It is a form of interpersonal violence. According to Paws it states, “They often don’t see that the animal is n object and not a creature with feelings.” They believe that since it’s an animal it’s okay to abuse it. They think if the animal did something bad they deserve it and it doesn’t matter. If you see anyone abusing an animal don’t do anything by yourself they can do something to you. If you see anything call the police first and they will handle it. Animal abuse can lead to serious punishments and may include death, it is a serious law that you should take
