Blu, snatched some time before a football game, unable to complete his duties as team mascot. Blu, was found on the football field on the 50- yard line the next day bleeding from a stake that he was hung on, and nobody did not know how long he was there (animal). Some examples of animal cruelty are killing, animal fights, taped up around the mouth, animals that have been chained up, and no food or water for the animal. There can be many different types of animal cruelty that exist and sometimes they can tie into family abuse and the laws have been trying to fix this problem. Many forms of animal cruelty exist in the world today. One form of animal cruelty is torturing and beating. Beating or torturing an animal may include bite marks, bruises, skin missing, and some body parts missing or bleeding from the skin. Another way is failing to provide food and water to the animal and or transporting the animal in an inappropriate way for their welfare (what). They did make some laws but they do not give rights to animal. They do give some legal protection to the animals. Also the purpose of these laws is not supposed to protect them, but keep people in line some way (stray). Animal Cruelty has been under another category in the law systems but its now in a group A offense also with homicide, assault, and arson. Also animal cruelty will has been categorized as a top-priority offense from 2015- 2016 (FBI). The United States has forty-two states the count animal cruelty as a felony and provision. Also the United States has nine states that do not count animal cruelty as a felony and provision (stray). The laws could be better for the animals, but at least they have some laws that can help
