Animals that are healthy and adoptable usually are euthanized every year at the shelter and that includes 3-4 millions cats and dogs. The United States Animal Welfare Act has cited every major circus that violates that standards for the car of the animals. Most rodeo events will do painful shocks on animals to make them perform. In 1860’s the dog fighting became prevalent in the civil war with professional pit proliferating. There is a lot of animals getting abused every year and people aren’t doing anything about it. Animals shouldn’t be abused, and it needs to stop. There are many types of abuse that happen all around the world. The most common one is dog fighting. Dog fighting is where the dog has spent his entire life out on a short heavy chain and is in isolation. Today many people are fighting dogs even though there are consequences. Based on what the article says “dogfighting is illegal in all 50 states and it’s a felony” (Disaster and Cruelty). This means that even though people know its illegal they still tend to fight the dogs. Dog fighting can happen anywhere such as the back alley, in a garage, or even carefully staged enterprise. Today people that work in lab usually test animals for different things. For example “Over 115 million animals – mice, rats, dogs, cats, rabbits, monkey, birds, and among others – are killed in laboratory experiment worldwide for chemicals, drugs, food, and cosmetics testing every year” (11 Facts about Animal Cruelty). This means that they aren’t surviving whatever the lab people are trying to prove. Animals in research is slowly going down from 2013. For example, “In 2014 US government statistics put the number of laboratory animals used in research at 834,453, a 6.4% drop from 2013” (US Statistics).
