Kyle served a total of four deployments located in Iraq and fought the best battle he could to keep himself and his men alive. During these four deployments Kyle gained the nickname of American Sniper because he was the very first sniper to kill a total of 160 men. Kyle was always putting other people before himself and his safety which not many people would think about doing because naturally ones first instinct is to protect oneself.
