Even though some holidays may be useless and unneeded in some people’s lives, religious holiday and historic holidays should be recognized in public because everyone needs multiple breaks and most holidays are needed to spend extra time with family and many holidays are part of their heritage and culture and all holidays have a purpose and a meaning to someone.

There are many, many people in the religious churches that would be infuriated by the elimination of public recognition of this holiday. This is the day December 25, it is their religion and lifestyle it’s what they consider the day their savior was born. Thanksgiving is a time that we celebrate when the Pilgrims sailed to a new land to get religious freedom and start over and start a new life to do anything they wanted. Therefore we get together every year to give thanks to everyone about the things we have.

Although we may be infused with many cultures and races of people, we all have a special day or holiday that means something someone. That’s why every holiday known should not be omitted or denounced. Every holiday is important even if it is only directed to a certain group of people.

This is why we need to keep our holidays, there is so many people who have a special connection with our holidays. This act would just be unfair and unjust to most people in the U.S., sure some holidays might be unneeded for you but it might be something very important to someone else. Therefore maybe you shouldn’t be so self centered and think about other people and their cultures and
