The term “alien” deters people from even considering the existence of these beings due to the extremes and stereotypes placed on them through science-fiction movies and comics. An alien is not an evil, manipulative race that is trying to conquer the earth, which is portrayed in nearly all of the alien resources that are in the world today, but instead a living being with the same curiosity as ourselves. The stereotypical alien is too far-fetched for universal acceptance, but the reality of these creatures is nearly impossible to deny it further.

Our universe is too extravagant to wrap our worldly minds around; we cannot grasp the true size of what is around us. When looking at the night sky, the stars are breathtakingly beautiful, leaving an overwhelmed feeling in the stargazer, and most do not know what each and every star is. Our sun is the center of our solar system, with 8 planets in constant orbit around it. Every star in the sky is not simply a dot of light, but another sun, millions of light years

Since these stories are other-worldly, people cannot wrap their minds around the concept of life so different than their own. Eager believers crave evidence to strengthen their argument, and some don’t believe because there “isn’t any proof,” but the proof is everywhere. Yes, there are a large amount of attention-seekers that create hoaxes and fake sightings, probably more illegitimate “sighting”" than legitimate, but some of the stories are true. The large amount of fake stories are proven fake, creating a distorted view on the entirety of the sightings, making every story appear made-up, covering up honest encounters. UFO’s are seen, and when their story becomes well-known and popular, the government stops them from spreading further.
