The Breathtaking Brown Girl Dreaming Initially when I began Jacqueline Woodson 's Brown Girl Dreaming I wasn 't convinced her choice of writing style was for me. I didn 't fully grasp how an autobiography could be written in verse and still flow like a narrative. However, Woodson laid to rest any concerns or doubts I may have had prior to starting this delightful novel. I have never been one to avidly seek out memoirs; I get bored with them after only just beginning them.…

I have chosen Cancer as my favorite constellation because it is the sign I was born under. Latin for "crab", it is the dimmest of all the zodiac constellations and used to be the Sun's most northerly position in the sky. It is located in between Gemini (to its west) and Leo(to its east). It is best known among stargazers as home of Praesepe, an open cluster. Cancer is most well known in Greek mythology as the crab sent by the goddess Hera to help the hydra kill Heracles.…

With reference to Barbara Ehrenreich’s “Welcome to Cancerland,”I will explore the loss of personal identity and forced optimism placed on breast cancer patients due to breast cancer culture.…

Sometimes, due to reasons such as spontaneous mutations, an irregular and uncontrollable cell growth occurs, forming malignant tumours. Besides, these cells have a characteristic of possessing an abnormal number of chromosomes and have the ability to divide indefinitely at a very fast rate.…
