Every year in the world there are approximately 40 to 50 million abortions, which is about 125,000 abortions per day. (WHO). In the U.S there is about 3,000 abortions everyday and 1,080,000 per year. (WHO). Also abortion has become such a controversial topic when dealing with people’s personal opinions. There are people who are against abortion (pro-life), the ones who argue that abortion is wrong, because it kills a human’s life, and people who favor abortion (pro-choice) believing women should have the right to choose. Many effects stem off abortion where in many cases both sexes suffer psychological trauma, but it is not always the case due to the pros of abortion in the eyes of those individuals.

Abortions has been a huge controversy, because many people believe that abortion is murder, but people don't seem to realize there was women all around the world who are raped. According to U.S Department of Justice's National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) there is an average of about 293,066 victims that rank from the ages 12 and up of rape and sexual assault. People who believe that abortion is murder have a point, because by the time a baby hits 24 weeks, it has a heart and its body is almost fully developed meaning that they are actually killing it. Although all of this harms the baby, there is a high risk of harming the mother as well. When an abortion occurs there are many different methods used, that is extremely unpleasant. There is the Menstrual Extraction that is like a vacuum, which is used to empty out the uterus, for early abortions. Next there is the procedure called Suction, which is when the baby is at a much later stage of pregnancy when it is sucked out of the womb, which tears up the baby's body into pieces.
