When I was a kid, nothing compared to riding my bike around town. Since I obviously couldn’t drive, my bike was my ticket to freedom. I could go anywhere (in a manner of speaking), and I wasn’t limited to just hanging out at home. While I loved to ride, one year my parents got me a scooter to bomb around in instead, and that became my new favorite toy. While biking was great if I wanted to go far, the scooter was perfect for running to the store or playing around at school. These days, however, kids have the benefit of technology with the abundance of relatively cheap electric scooters. No longer do you have to kick, push, and slide.
