One side claims that the drug does not meet all the requirements necessary for classification as a schedule 1 drug, which is why it is considered illegal. On the other side they do not see where the requirements are necessary to classify marijuana as medically necessary to put it in that category. Many pros and cons are comparing the drug to alcohol and tobacco, both of which can be dangerous and pose mental and health concerns but of which both are legal. There should be made no legal comparisons between them because there is no way in proving that alcohol and tobacco are either more dangerous or less dangerous than marijuana.
