Each year 100 million animals are killed each year for human benefit. These animals include, rabbits, mice, dogs, cats, frogs, rats, and many more beloved animals. Animal testing is the act of using an animal for human advantage, whether that would be for experiments or for product testing. Animal testing should be banned due to their rights being taken away because they can not vocalize their wants and animals are put through horrifying pain for scientific research or product testing. Animal testing is a very cruel act. The animals are put through countless test and experiments for human advantage. Animal testing removes the rights of the animals when decided they are going to take part in the testing. According to Tom Regan, a professor …show more content…
He then goes on to say, “animals experimentation is morally wrong no matter how much humans may benefit”(“Save”). Animal testing is morally wrong as believed by a large number of animal lovers everywhere such as Tom Regan. Animals are thrown into situations they would not be in unless there was human contact. Animals deserve to live a painless happy life, and they do not get that when they are part of an experiment or product testing. Though it is true that animals do not get a say whether they want to be in an experiment or not, they have brought so many medical advance to people everywhere. Without animal testing the medical field would not be where it is today. Even though it is achieved by the use of animals. According to Hollis Cline and Mar Sanchez, animal testing has led to many advances to help with medical issues such as parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and schizophrenia (Cline). There would not be the advanced understanding of how the body reacts to different things and how the diseases react as well. Though animals do not have a say in …show more content…
Take a dong for example, if a dog wants to go outside he will make it clear to its owner in a way they can understand. Not everything an animal tries to communicate is clear, but the wishes of the animal should be honored. The wishes of the animals are not honored when they are subjected to test after where they are torched for the benefit of humans. According to lone star college, the two most common test for toxicity are the draize test and the LD50 test. Both are know for the amount of suffrage on the animal used. The draize test the substance or product is inserted into the eye of the subject, usually a rabbit, the animal is then monitored to see the damage in the cornea and the other tissues near the eye. The test is very painful and usually results in blindness, scarring , and death near the end of the experiment. The LD50 test is used to test how much of a substance it will take to kill 50 percent of test subjects in a given amount of time. The researchers connect the animal to tubes that then pump a large amount of the product being tested into the stomach of the animal until death is reached. This test is morally wrong in many ways and causes death and since the result is death, the process may take days to weeks to carry out (“save”). Test the subjects go through are very

Just as far as neuroscience goes, animal testing has revealed very significant results in the way of medical advances. Research done on rats an monkeys, for example, has helped us to better understand PTSD, and it is because of this better understanding that scientists have been able to develop medications to help people who suffer from PTSD cope with aspects of the disorder. Animal research has also been significant in understanding and helping to treat Parkinson’s disease. It was because of the research done on rabbits and mice that scientists discovered that Parkinson’s affects dopamine levels in the brain. Animal research is still important today when studying current diseases and disorders.…

What the animals experiment daily is injection or force feeding them with potential harmful substances, exposing animals to radiation, surgically removing animals organs or tissues to deliberately cause damage, forcing animals to inhale toxic substances, subjecting animals to frightening situations to create anxiety and depression. It’s a lot of damage towards good-natured animals to test the beauty products on them like a useless beneficial object. The animals pain during the experiment is severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, convulsions, seizures, paralysis, or bleeding from the mouth, nose, genitals before they are dead. All of the pain caused to animals lead to 100 million animals gone each year because of testing, including people who hunt or eat chicken, duck, fish, and other types of meat which adds another 850 million animals with animal testing.…

He says that animal experiments provide misleading data. At best, experiments tell us about how animals experience disease, but hardly tell us something of value that can be applied to humans. What good is it for us using animals to test medicines if it is not even useful? Ray Creek also said that the General Accounting Office several years ago concluded that animal tests do not accurately predict how dangerous a drug will be in humans. In other words, drug tests on animals do not protect humans from harmful medications.…

Why Animal Testing Should Be Banned Everyday innocent animals are being forced into labs and tested for human research advancement. Cruelty Free International states how approximately 115 million animals, including rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, mice, dogs and monkeys are used in dangerous laboratory experiments every year. In fact, many of the experiments are said to be useless tests, as stated, “The reality is that the majority of animal experiments do not contribute to improving human health, and the value of the role that animal experimentation plays in most medical advances is questionable” (“Animal Testing is Bad Science”). Misconceptions by the media may stretch the idea how animal testing can cure diseases, illnesses etc.. But actually, as emphasized, animal testing is an inefficient way of finding medical advances, making the procedures to be unnecessary and making there be no reason to force animals into labs without a choice, it's blatantly a waste of animals lives.…
