However, these rules are not actual laws, so they are not required to be followed. Realistically, there is nothing wrong with less homework at all. Teachers growing up hated it, just like everyone else, so why do they assign such large amounts? If nobody likes homework, and we all know it causes problems, why can’t everyone just to agree to assign less?
So, in short, there should be less, but more effective homework. Homework should be assigned according to the 10-minute rule, or maybe even less. Homework should be assigned to the 10-minute rule so students can worry less about homework and have more freetime. Obviously, the 10-minute rule may not be the same for everyone, as some people do work faster or slower. This is fine, its just about having less homework.
