Before the rubella vaccine was created, there was a world-wide outbreak of German measles that resulted in 11,000 babies dying and 20,000 babies being born with birth defects. With the increase of vaccinating children for rubella, also known as German measles, the risk has decreased tremendously for a pregnant woman to pass it along to their unborn fetus or their newly born child. Vaccines are in the end a product, just like mostly anything else in the world, and with products the main goal is to sell as many as possible to receive the largest profit off of it. Formaldehyde is thought of to have connections to certain cancers. Aluminum is thought of to be linked to brain and bone diseases and could damage kidneys.
