The anatomic, metabolic, and cellular differences between human beings and animals are one of the reasons why scientists should not test on them. For example, ninety-four percent of drugs that succeed on animals, fail in human clinical trials (Understanding Animal Research). Some experimental drugs that claim are safe and well to use on animals, are unsuccessful in humans because they are proven to be more dangerous. Animals are being burned, crippled, and tortured in US labs every year. Researchers do not have to test on animals for a product to be safe to use. Avoid testing directly on animals by doing in vitro test methods by using test tubes or other computer models, and simulators with human cell and tissue cultures.
