Animals have been used for testing since the beginning of time so scientists can find information about us and test medicines to see if they will be safe on us. In times during BC where physician Herophilus and Erasistratus discovered information about our sensory and motor nerves and tendons (Monamy 8). In the early years of AD, Greek physician, Galen of Pergamum, made his own discoveries about our anatomy of the brain by using animals, but eventually, Galen’s discoveries soon faded, but were brought back during the Dark Ages where religion took a huge part of testing whether or not animals should still be tested for experiments (Monamy 8). Christians, for example, think that animals should be respected in a way since they were “God’s creation”
