Eating Healthy While On-The-Go

When you are leaving work or heading to school or running your kids back and forth to extra-curricular activities, what do you eat? Do you eat at home with your family? Do you stop at a restaurant for a quick bite to eat? Or do you pack a meal for you and your family that is healthy as well? In today’s world, we are all so busy and caught up in life that we start to forget the meaning of family and keeping our bodies healthy. One of the biggest questions is “How do I eat healthy when I am constantly on-the-go?” First off, let us start with the question of “Why is it hard for people to eat healthy today?” While conducting my research on this topic, I interviewed two separate women: one whom is a Health

What are some healthier options for fast food restaurants? According to Dr. Alonso, one of the famous fast food restaurants is McDonalds. If you must stop at McDonalds, try their Southwest Chicken Salad. Another restaurant she recommended was Chick-Fil-A. They have a delicious Harvest Salad that you can get with a fruit salad as well. Another great idea was from Miss Reynolds. She said that it is so important to order your salads with the dressing on the side. Some salad dressings have many calories in them. But how does it affect our bodies physically, mentally, and emotionally? According to Dr. Alonso, eating healthy promotes long lasting energy physically instead of having a sugar rush and then crashing later. Mentally eating healthy improves your focus and you are able to concentrate better. Also, while eating healthy, it makes you more stable emotionally. According to Miss Reynolds, physically your body moves easier and is physically stronger. The skin develops good color, you have better complexion, you have less wrinkles, and your hair is shinier and will grow faster. Eating healthy will give you a greater ability to focus and help your mind stay clear so you are able to focus and concentrate.
