Do Guns Kill or Save? One bullet, from one shot, from one gun, is all it takes. One small little bullet travelling so fast, that one cannot see it coming. This little bullet propels itself toward a body, and when it hits the body and pierces the skin, a whole life can change. When this bullet pierces a skull, or tears open a beating heart, everything changes. In a split second everything, every potential this person could’ve fulfilled, has vanished. If guns were prohibited, it would be a waste of time and effort, because the people do the killing, the people that actually want to kill someone have ways obtain the firearms from somewhere illegal, and many of the large shootings could have been avoided if there were thorough background checks and more mental health examinations. The gun may be the machine that fires a bullet and kills an innocent person, yet the person who pulls the trigger is ultimately the object that inflicts the pain and suffering onto the victim. The gun cannot be fired and used to kill someone without a person, with malicious and harmful intent, pulling the trigger. If guns were illegalized, then the immoral people wouldn’t lose their intent on killing someone or a group of people, they would just find another way to execute the action. This would actually promote the mentally ill people to think outside the box and become more creative with their ways of killing people. The people with malicious and harmful intent could create bombs to execute their plan if they cannot access a gun, which would inflict more damage to people as a well as the property around the area. If a person wants to kill someone, they will find a way of executing the action
